Congratulations to all the ACM members on the Success of Math-Tech 2010

This year, Math-Tech was bigger and better. The students of BS Computing II made projects on various mathematical areas like Fibonacci series, cryptography, poker, the golden ratio and etc. Unique ideas were presented in an interesting manner. ACM members helped them to bring their ideas and projects to a stage where they could be appreciated and this young talent could be identified.

Around 150 students and faculty members had attended it from various departments and programs which include Computer Sciences, Management Sciences, Social Sciences and Media Sciences. The president of SZABIST, Dr.Izhar-ul-Haq took out time and visited this exhibition. His comments about this Math-tech were, “Salam. Well done and really some brilliant use of math. Keep it up. Izhar.”
Other than our President, Dean of Computing department, Dr. Imran Amin also visited. His comments were “Brilliant effort by the students”

Comments of many other faculty members who visited were as follows,

Mr. Siddique, Our Academic Controller: “Excellent job done by BS-Computing students and the ACM team”

Ms. Shehla Najib, Coordinator BABS & EMBA: “A job very well done and appreciated! Also I finally learnt how to play poker:)”

Ms. Wajeeha Fatima, Coordinator BBA:  ”Congrats to ACM and SZA for a wonderful experience”

Ms. Ayesha Jamal, Faculty: “A very well done up event. Thoroughly enjoyed every project.”

Syed M. Ali Shah, Research Editor: “An academically enlightening experience. The manner in which students shedlight on the mathematical side of life, which is otherwise veiled from our numerically unsavvy eyes, is to be appreciated by us all. Being no man of mathematics, it was quite an eye-opening experience…”

Getting all these encouragements and appreciations, we have become more enthusiastic than ever before. So the whole ACM SZABIST Student Chapter team would like to thank everyone of you who have supported us and given us the encouragement to not only think out of the box, but also execute our plans. We will be needing your support and guidance in future too!

We hope that it was a fun and learning experience for everyone. Even in the future, we are planning to bring you more events that will not only enhance your knowledge, but also provide entertainment. So please stay with us. If you have any suggestions or feedbacks, then do let us know on our official ACM forum or join us at facebook group.
