I congratulate the new EB for clearing a two round interview process taken by Faculty Advisor Adeel Ahmed and Governing Body of ACM SZABIST Chapter supervised by SZABIST Student Council to ensure transparency (Special Thanks to Hamza Faruqi, Vice President SSC).
The kind of response we got was overwhelming and it got us into a tough position to decide who was the best for respective position. We’ve tried our level best to selected the best possible Head of Departments and their teams.
Initially we had plans just to shortlist HoDs but we had so many potential candidates that we were forced to make respective teams. Now all of us together need to work for ACM, it’s not important what you are whether President, HoD or a team member, what’s important is ACM SZABIST Chapter and we all need to take it to the new heights. Congratulations once again to new HoDs and team members.
After the formation of General Body, the new executive body is required to be made in order to complete the team. For finding out the most deserving and best out of the best people, we are conducting interviews for various posts available in our Executive body. The interviews are scheduled for Friday 29th April 2011 from 9:30 am till 1:00 pm. Check your time slots below according to the post you have registered. It was a very though fight for the posts of Vice President and General Secretary. Voting was extended to 5:45 pm and 37 ACM SZABIST members casted their votes. Vote counting was done by Sir Naveed Dilber and ACM SZABIST sponsor, Sir Adeel Ahmed. Following were the results:
President: Sarmad Saleem selected unopposed.
Vice President: Mizbah Aziz won with 19 votes and just one vote behind was Adnan Jawed with 18 votes. Sadaan Mustafa did not receive any votes, but got a lot praise from everyone.
General Secretary: S. M. Zaid Shakil won with 13 votes, just 2 votes behind was Manish Kumar with 11 votes. Masuma Hassan got 8 votes and M. Ahsan got 5 votes.
We congratulate the new governing body, Sarmad, Mizbah and Zaid, for winning the elections. Along with that, we wish you all the best of luck for the future. Moreover, we hope you serve the society at your best, fulfill the aims and make everyone proud.
