SZABIST ACM Chapter is organizing an Information System Auditing Seminar for computing students. The main theme for this seminar is to create awareness regarding IS Auditing and make participants aware of the potential job market in this field.
Information Systems Auditing deals with an examination of the system controls within an Information technology (IT) infrastructure of a company. This is the process of evaluating the suitability and validity of an organization’s information systems, practices and operations. Information System Auditing has been developed to allow an organization to achieve goals effectively and efficiently through assessing that computer systems safeguard assets and maintain data integrity.
The seminar will be conducted by Mr. Sajid Khan, Executive Director in the Information Technology Risk & Assurance within the Advisory Practice in Pakistan. He has experience of over 20 years in Information Technology including 15 years in IT Assurance/Security and 5 years in Systems Development and Analysis. He has worked at Silicon Valley, United states for 15 years. He will create general awareness about this emerging field and job opportunities available for upcoming graduates.
